Longest draught evaahhh....

Yes I'm coming back to the blog. I've been away for sometime during which almost nothing changed in my life. Let's see, I only got married, went on a honeymoon to Egypt, changed jobs, did some traveling over weekends, discovered that my new job sucks more than my old job, signed a mortgage, cured cancer, solved the fuel crisis, visited Belgium, won a Nobel Prize and clipped my toenails. Alright, not all of that is true, but some of it is. You figure out which is which.

Just couple of points I should clear up:
Yes, the new job does suck more than the old one
Yes, the new job pays 50 percent more than the old one
Yes, I have 50 percent less free time now than I had at my old job
Yes, I hate the fact that I work in a office building with all the personality of a sterile petrie dish
Yes, I am once again looking for a new job
Yes, I still have no idea what I want to do
Yes, I promise to stop writing about how much my professional life sucks

There, got that squared away. Strangely, I don't have the sense of aimlessness that I had about the same time last year, but that just may be my mood today. I've certainly had it in recent months. What do I do, you ask? Well, right now I work as a copywriter, but what I really do is translations and proofreading. That would be boring enough, but on top of that I have nothing to do most of the time. This means that I spend nearly eight hours a day in a sterile environment doing nothing. Honestly, morgues have more life to them than my current open-spaced office. So I spend most of my time surfing the web, fixing my fantasy hockey and football teams and finding any excuse to get out of the office. Real creative environment, I assure you.

One thing I will say, this experience has shown me that I can do two things that I actually enjoy: translations and news. That's it. So the next job will be in one of these two fields. That will hopefully keep me sane and happy. I know what you're thinking and you’re wrong, it is possible for me to be happy.
